Sunflowers do the heavy lifting here, opened wide and facing out, with orange and rust button mums filling in around them and a single red carnation for a note of deeper colour. What makes it feel like October rather than August is everything around the edges: clusters of real acorns, papery dried strawflower in cream and apricot, pale hypericum berries, and variegated foliage that keeps the palette light. Long strands of cream dried amaranthus spill over the side of the whitewashed wooden basket and hang well below it. Built two-sided, so it can sit in the middle of a table or on an island where people gather around it — a Thanksgiving centrepiece, or just something warm for the front hall.
Flowers and basket may vary based on seasonal availability. This arrangement is designed to be viewed from all sides.
