These roses open in a pale blush that warms toward coral at the centre, which keeps the colour from reading flat. A dozen of them are set among plenty of baby's breath and a mix of greens — ruscus, salal, and silver dollar eucalyptus for a cooler note — all in a clear glass vase. Soft pink is the gentlest of the rose colours, and it carries affection without pressing too hard.
